To truly be and feel well, first, we must understand the pathology of disease, or dis-ease.
Trying leads to effort. Effort leads to stress. Stress leads to disease. That’s it. While diseases are many, their essence is the same, as is their cause.
When we fall ignorant to who and what we are, we then try to be who we think we are, which requires unsustainable personal willpower, eventually taxing our internal regulatory systems to the point of various breakdowns, resulting in diagnosis and labels (asthma, depression, diabetes, anxiety, etc.). This occurs physically, mentally, and even spiritually to some extent.
The journey to sustainable health and wellness and a life lived free of disease and labels, is ultimately a journey of self-realisation—of understanding who and what we are, which allows us to live effortlessly and in harmony with nature, or the way of things. Our internal systems respond in kind.
Thankfully, we have been given the tools to assist with this essential process.
Jin Shin Jyutsu®
JYUTSU - Art
SHIN - Creator
JIN - Man of Knowing and Compassion
(Art of the Creator through man of knowing and compassion)
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a physio-philosophy that involves the application of the hands to gently balance the flow of life energy (that some traditions have referred to as “qi” or “prana”) in the body. It is also helpful for facilitating awakening to the awareness of complete harmony within the Self and the Universe.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art, as opposed to a technique. A technique is a mechanical application, whereas an art is a skillful creation. In Jin Shin Jyutsu, there is no physical manipulation of tissue and only minimal pressure is used. The hands are seen as jumper cables, contacting 26 "Safety Energy Locks" to redirect, or unblock the flow of energy along its pathways.
In a typical session, which lasts about one hour, the receiver remains clothed and lies face-up on a cushioned surface. After listening to the pulse in the wrists, a practitioner employs a sequence, called a “flow,” appropriate for unblocking particular pathways and harmonising the body’s energy.
Clients typically leave a single Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment feeling lighter, happier, and at greater ease. Improvements for chronic conditions and various labels can often be dramatic, if given enough time and commitment.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is highly effective in the treatment of a wide variety of physical and mental conditions, especially chronic conditions, conditions of unknown cause, and conditions of sizable magnitude. Jin Shin Jyutsu should not be considered as a replacement for conventional medical treatment.
I have over 20 years of experience with Jin Shin Jyutsu and the “Now Know Myself” journey, and stand ready to serve you exactly where you are, as you are. In addition, I have deep background in Family Constellation Work, meditative practice, and have been conducting successful poverty-allevation programmes in India and Africa for the past decade.

Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions does Jin Shin Jyutsu treat effectively?
Generally speaking, there is no physical or psychological/emotional condition JSJ can’t improve or resolve since it works on the energetic, causal level of them all.
However, those with chronic pain, arthritis, asthma/COPD, cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, eating disorders, heart disease, addictive behavior, weight problems, anxiety, personality disorders, depression, and PTSD should all see significant improvement with their symptoms and overall sense of well being—if given the proper commitment to both Jin Shin Jyutsu and implementation of basic lifestyle changes.
Do you have a particular issue you want to discuss? Please write to me to setup a time to talk, and briefly outline what’s going on.
How much will I have to pay?
I develop a payment structure with clients on a case-by-case basis.
Generally, a single one-hour session will cost $75 but that will scale down if, say, you would like to intensively tackle an issue, come 1x or more/week for a given time, and similar.
I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards via Square/Cash app and PayPal.
When will I start seeing results?
It really depends.
Some clients are like powder kegs and will see results immediately. Others, are more like wet logs, who will require more time and commitment to start seeing improvement. And there are 1,000 degrees in between.
There really is no way to tell, which is why it is important to come based on your inner sense of knowing (intuition), as a certain level of trust is needed to participate in a process like this.
Typically though, after a Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment, clients report feeling more peaceful, calm, and happy, which can lead to more harmonious decision making in the short-term.
Has JSJ been researched?
Yes. You can browse some of the research articles here.
How should I prepare for a treatment and what should I do after?
There is nothing in particular you need to do to prepare for a Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment, apart from wearing loose-fitting clothing and a pair of socks.
Post-treatment, if you can schedule time for rest, that is ideal vs. going back to a busy day at the office. The effects of a treatment can linger on for up to 8 hours, so it is good to be mindful during this time and avoid large meals, gossipy conversation, alcohol, sugary/processed food, and so on. I also recommended not engaging with other therapies during this time, such as yoga, psychotherapy, and other touch modalities.
How do I know it’s working?
The effects of Jin Shin Jyutsu are incredibly subtle, in a powerful way. During a treatment, you might feel rushes of energy, fluctuations in temperature, and an overall sense of having an internal journey.
Quite likely, others will be the ones to say things like, “Your face looks lighter, “You seem calmer” or, “Wow, what did you do?”
You might also experience “purges” of various sorts, as toxicity exits your system.
